Teith Castle Scotland

Teith Castle Scotland

A unique contemporary castle with the Highlands at your fingertips

It’s easy to band around terms like ‘unique, “different”, and “special” but often those are superlatives without meaning. But when we say that this contemporary Scottish castle is unique, different and special, believe me, we are true to every word. Firstly, there’s the location. It lies right in the beautiful Scottish Highlands and yet it is less than an hour’s drive away from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. It’s remote and peaceful and yet the nearest town, with its many facilities, is only a fifteen-minute walk away. Then there’s the décor! This lovingly restored contemporary castle is furnished throughout in the unique and contemporary style of its artist owners. So you can see that this truly is a unique place to stay.

Guest reviews

What an absolutely outstanding place to stay! The house is wonderful. The artwork around the house is stunning. The rooms throughout are lovely, with excellent attention to detail. We were part of a group of friends celebrating a special occasion and the house and the grounds certainly made a memorable occasion for all the adults and children in the party. I could not recommend Teith Castle highly enough. It is an outstanding house set in outstanding grounds.

Teith Castle is a beautiful building in a stunning location, and the internally finished to the highest quality. From our room and bathroom, we had fabulous views out over the grounds to the beautiful river Teith. You get the feeling of total seclusion, but civilisation is only a 20 minute walk away. Inside also has the wow factor with amazing artwork throughout. We booked for a celebration with some very special friends, so were always going to have a great time, but the house and location just made it even more special.

Where artistic brilliance meets classy style

Inside, this property is stylish and spectacular. The beautiful reception room is 80 metres long with several seating and dining areas. And on cold Highland winter evenings it is the perfect place to enjoy a roaring fire while sipping a wee dram from the 3 metre-long honesty bar, or indulging in a friendly game of pool. There’s even a drum kit and lighting if you want to party! For a more sedate musical evening, head to the morning room where you will find a digital baby grand piano. Or relax on one of the comfy sofas in front of a cosy fire in the library listening to your favourite tunes on the Sonos music system that serves the whole ground floor of the property. The Magical dining area features the “The Savoy Series” of artworks creating plenty of conversation pieces as you enjoy a wonderful meal with family and friends and soak up the ambience.

So much to do!

The castle sits in twelve acres of private grounds, including the woodland and the river, and it is all just waiting for you to explore. Fish for salmon or trout or try your hand at clay pigeon shooting. This being Scotland, there is a golf course close at hand and we can even arrange golf days for you. And this being the Highlands, there are plenty of places to walk – whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or you want a healthy hike, there is something for everyone. In the Morning room you will find a digital baby grand piano and the games cupboard includes croquet and boules. If you want something a bit more energetic, the basement gym has a running machine, spin bikes, free weights, and an aerial yoga swing. Whatever takes your fancy, just ask. We’ll do our very best to accommodate you! We can arrange yoga instructors, personal instructors, canoeing, cycling, and a whole range of spa treatments. Go on, pamper yourself!

    The Lade Inn

If you are looking for hearty Scottish locally sourced produce with exclusive house real ales all served in a friendly, traditional pub then The Lade Inn is for you.  Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland; in the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park.

Mhor Fish is a sit-down and takeaway chippy with a difference. We serve acclaimed fish suppers using the best Scottish produce, plus a few tasty alternatives, including fish chowder, handmade Scottish beef burgers, Loch Creran oysters, Isle of Lewis mussels, and puds, too. You’re welcome to accompany your meal with a traditional cuppa, but we also serve wines and beers.

    Mhor Bread
