Wales

In the southwest of Wales, you’ll find the county of Pembrokeshire, where every section of the landscape tells a story. On windy coastal walks it’s likely you’ll stumble across blowholes, volcanic rock, glacier-carved bays and more. This wealth of unspoilt wilderness offers plentiful opportunities for hiking and kayaking.

Pembrokeshire is rich in towns to explore, too. St Davids is particularly unmissable. This cathedral city, named after the patron saint of Wales, is the smallest in the UK. Its atmospheric location – the sea on three sides, hills on the other – makes it a photogenic place to spend the day.

Famous For

  • St Davids’ remarkable 12th-century cathedral
  • Bustling seaside towns, such as Saundersfoot, Carew and Solva
  • The magnificent Pembroke Castle, which was home to Pembroke’s earls for around 300 years
  • Ramsey Island. This isle can be found to the west of St Davids, and as a RSPB reserve, is heaven for bird-watchers (look out for choughs)

What we think

Diverse and wild, Pembrokeshire has been voted as having the second best coastline in the world by National Geographic magazine.  We're delighted to have recently added Wales to our collection of big house destinations. We hope you love it as much as we do!
