The Hunting Lodge (2)

Loch Tay Lodge Scotland

A Victorian hunting lodge on the banks of magnificent Loch Tay.

Perched on the banks of a loch near the quaint village of Killin, Loch Tay Lodge in Scotland comprises 13 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, making it the ideal location for a family getaway. Even though this historic hunting lodge can sleep up to 29 people, every inch feels cosy, warm and welcoming –  from the rustic, exposed brickwork to the traditional stone hearth in the sitting room.

Interiors are atmospheric with a grand, medieval feel: think authentic vaulted ceilings, sumptuous, deep pile rugs and show-stealing lighting fixtures wrought from iron. Oh, and a spacious library, accented with rich, dark wood and offering row upon row of classic books. Panoramic windows are dotted throughout – through which you can admire the ever-changing view of the loch as the day’s dying light dances over the water.

Guest Reviews

The most amazing house. Spotless from top to bottom with so many rooms to accommodate every need. Grounds are immaculate thanks to John.  Would recommend this place to anyone. An amazing house that gave us amazing memories.

Phenomenal, amazing, most superb house. This house is so impressive with the most beautiful grounds and views. There were 26 of us with fabulous facilities for us all to have something to do without getting in each other's way. Yet, when we all wanted to be together there was the fabulous dinning room and snug room in which there was room for us all to celebrate and enjoy. We had the most amazing time and really hope we get the chance to go back again.

Modern and luxurious amenities… …within four acres of secluded woodland

Loch Tay Lodge may have the feel of a decadent castle, but its contemporary conveniences belong firmly in the 21st century. After a long day exploring the rugged Scottish countryside, let tired muscles unwind in the seven-seater hot tub, looking out over the magnificent Ben Lawers mountain range.

Before you retire indoors, take an evening stroll through the enchanting woods to the west of the lodge. Along the way, you’ll cross over stone bridges, crane your neck to admire ancient trees and follow meandering boot-worn paths. You may even come across a fire pit or two, where you’re welcome to host a BBQ or toast marshmallows and tell stories as the sun goes down.
